Our Local Expert: Marina in St Petersburg

For International Women’s Day on March 8th, we’re talking travel to some of our female guides around the world. Today, we’re having a chat with Marina in St Petersburg! 

What is your best travel memory?

My best travel memory is the most recent one – a family cruise for the New Year and Russian Christmas from Sydney to French Polynesia and Fiji.

Why did you start working in travel?

Mostly for fun. I have a FMCG industry background working as an HR Director for corporate businesses. Travelling and history was my hobby which resulted in a new career.

What is your favourite part about working with Urban Adventures?

Being a part of the international brand.

If you could live and work in any other UA city, where would it be and why?

Sydney, Sydney, Sydney. My second home!

If you had to give a visitor one tip about your city, what would it be?

Just be. Don’t rush to see everything, St Petersburg takes a life to see.

Where in the world (other than your own city!) would you go to:

Get cultured? Rome

Escape? Anywhere, if you go with a right person.

Eat amazing food? Italy, or the south of France.

See some wildlife? Australia.

Get some sun? Bali, or Queensland.

Enjoy the great outdoors? Australia!
